Blueberry

Blueberry is an evocative narrative platformer that invites you to climb the Tower of Life, experiencing the life of a woman as she navigates love, loss, and self-discovery. You play as Blueberry, an elderly lady who is struggling with the relationship with her adult son Emilio. As you piece together the story of her trauma, you help make sense of her memories to finally deal with the impact they have on her life. Through mini games, you re-experience and collect her memories, where she changes from being cared for (and often neglected) by her own parents and later caring for her child. The game addresses the difficulties of processing trauma in a nuanced and thoughtful story and helps players empathize with people who are going through traumatic events and simultaneously function in their everyday lives.
