Have you ever lived somewhere only for a short time? This XR sonic installation treats the bedroom as a “container of sound,” using everyday objects and audio to recreate the process of moving in, living, and eventually moving out as a renter. The work explores how our feelings about “home” continuously shift within temporary living situations. Visitors can interact with familiar domestic items such as a wardrobe, chair, carpet, and drawers. These objects trigger voice recordings from renters sharing their experiences of renting, relocating, and remembering. Different personal traces overlap within the same space, forming a layered portrait of urban dwelling. In a mobile city life, “home” may not be a fixed place, but something constantly redefined through time, memory, and lived experience.
