EL HUERVO

Niklas "El Huervo" Åkerblad is a polymathic artist from Gothenburg, Sweden, who has been active in various fields since 2009. Perhaps foremost associated with their art and music in interactive media such as Hotline Miami 1&2, else Heart.Break{}, Steam World Dig 2, Kometen and most recently Ultros. They've also been recognized for their live-performances and art-shows in Sweden and around Europe as well as the California coast. Bold color-schemes, a tendency to push the boundaries of visual balance and introspective themes often portrayed through otherworldly scenics run as a common thread through their art. While sometimes haunted by oppressive trans-dimensional deities, there is also room for hope, beauty and self-perseverance.

SALON BITTER

Salon Bitter is the music of the future – today. Stuttgart duo reviving 80s synthpop and Italo disco with relentless inconsistency and intoxicating live energy. Unpredictable inconsistency breathes new life into dripping 80s pop and creaking Italo disco planks. An energetic performance shakes the remaining dust off the synthpop futon and makes room for a proper sonic storm. Salon Bitter are Manuel Maschkowitz and Benedikt Hummel, who crossed paths in Stuttgart two years ago and quickly realized they couldn't do without each other. Maschko produces the beats that make Ex-Benedikt's ecstatic voice tremble, and Ex-Benedikt's heart pours out exactly the lyrics that blossom into new greatness with Maschko's 80s grooves.

NEOANGIN

1994 marks the beginning of the whole story: Berlin painter and "pop-art" activist Jim Avignon spots a one-man-entertainer-keyboard in the sales bin at the hardware store, right next to the cash register. He wastes no time and purchases the instrument. In the ensuing months he will dedicate quite some time to his new keyboard. The instrument has funky accompanying rhythms and a snazzy sound but unfortunately there is no feature to save the songs. Not knowing how to read music, Mr. Avignon develops his very own method to memorize the numerous melodies and chordal sketches which he had composed in no time.

bauSTELLE 3000

bauSTELLE is like a musical, but as a rave. It's about class struggle and going to work, but not like in an Oi kind of way but more like contemporary. There are only hits, there are costumes, and we're all 8 years old again, united in our longing for MTV and the anime series that aired on Wednesday nights. If none of that interests you, just go wild to the techno beats. That always works, too. We don't have to do anything here.

SUPER OPEN SOUND SYSTEM

Thursday May 14, 22:00 — Panke Culture

sched.co/2LtpT

Do some of you remember the Super Open Sound System? Back in the days at the Urban Spree Garden with the little Red Polish Firetruck by Sos. That was so amazing and built the community. This year we are going to bring that experience back and provide the Super Open Sound System a full night on the legendary club stage at Panke. Let’s party to the best and worst tunes the community has to offer. Amazing!

What do you need? Nothing! You can play from your phone, your laptop, your Gameboy or anything you want (nobody checks this). We’ll have a bluetooth dongle and a 3.5mm jack for you to plug into, so just bring whatever you need! Note that there won’t be much time to set-up, tho!

Just come to A MAZE. / Berlin and put your name on the poster to the time slot and you can play whatever you want! Everyone is welcome! Bad music is great! Let’s go! We’ll put up the poster on Thursday afternoon near the entrance, watch out for the announcement!

NOTE: If you make your own cool music and would want to secure a spot beforehand to make sure you won’t bring your gear in vain, reach out to Sos on Discord (sos_sosowski). Note that we have limited availability for this and this is for artists who make their own music.

SOS SOSOWSKI

THE LEGENDARY A MAZE. JUMP ‘N’ RUN PARTY

Friday May 15, 22:00 — Panke Culture

HYENAZ

HYENAZ are sonic alchemists Mad Kate and Adrienne Teicher, who create interactive performances and audiovisual art on the nexus of bodies, power, and audibility.

Their decade-long project Foreign Bodies, to be released digitally on 17.05.2026, is a series of sonic and performative encounters designed to meet people as relational bodies: bodies in motion, in migration, and in resistance. The work unfolds across various sites of movement and struggle: migrant transit points, refugee camps, detention centers, ancient caves, working mines, indigenous lands, alternative communities, activist encampments, and shelters. Through both volunteer work and collaboration, they recorded interviews and made field recordings to understand these contexts through a sonic lens to listen to oral histories and ambient soundscapes, to engage with the dissonant and dissident frequencies that reverberate through these liminal spaces.

And this is how we're going about it: without hesitation we mix Dubstep with Blues, Minimal and Soul. To us, that's key — we focus on the soul of the machine; when the machine does not have a soul we create one for it. We've been together since 6th grade — making music, watching movies and dreaming of a noisy, colorful world.

GELBART

Ever since landing in Berlin's electronic scene in 2005, Gelbart has earned a reputation as one of the city's most innovative musicians. A self-taught multi-instrumentalist, composer, filmmaker, and author, his work exists at the intersection of the surreal and the visceral, blending the high-brow with the low, and the accessible with the complex.

With a discography spanning more than 20 LPs and EPs (on Joyful Noise, Gagarin Records, and Lo Recordings, among others), Gelbart has built a distinctive sonic universe—one that defies categorization while maintaining a singular vision. His compositions, ranging from toybox electronica to avant-garde orchestrations, reflect not only a fearless commitment to pushing creative boundaries but also a deep mastery of the craft of music, with resonant melodies and warm harmonies. Gelbart is also the author of the surrealist novel Egglike.

POSITIVE CHAOS PARTY

Neles0n

Neles0n develops audiovisual formats with a focus on storytelling and practice-based design research. She works within interdisciplinary productions, taking on the role of Creative Director. Her practice centers on concept-driven formats, including music videos, visual music, and innovative interaction concepts at the intersection of emerging technologies and generative design. Her work brings together dramaturgy, technology, and conceptual clarity. Research emerges through practice.

GEWALT

Gewalt emerges from the (under)belly of Berlin. We condense the inescapability and impossibility of human existence. We practice on stage. We travel the world with our music. We steal from Einstürzende Neubauten, DAF, Fehlfarben, Joy Division, DaftPunk, Kraftwerk, Falco, Prince, Dr. Dre, LCD Soundsystem and dysfunctional relationships. We embrace the absence of light, the beauty of sonic pressure and the cold mechanics of machines. Put Industrial, post-punk, new wave, dance, wut-wave in a blender and you will see how we come to make you dance and to blow your mind.

PATRIC CATANI

Patric Catani is a Berlin based music producer known for a wide range of live projects, album releases and soundtracks. He started making music in 1992, in his kids room, on an Amiga home computer. His early signature sound brought his name on various German/European underground labels, as well as on Grand Royal and Wordsound (US) or on Beat Ink (Japan). The late 90s found him touring extensively worldwide with his techno, gabba and breakbeats sets as E de Cologne or with his digital hardcore band, EC8OR, featuring Gina d'Orio. What started in the 90s as an Amiga powered, boisterous sound messing up with the musical landscapes, has later evolved into more psychedelic melodies, experimental bounce & bass, as well as elaborate compositions for video games, film, theater, and art projects.

TIA

In medicine, TIA (Transient Ischemic Attack) is a stroke. In colloquial French language, Tia refers to a girl, a rough or vulgar woman. In music, Tia tries to honor these definitions by offering a kinky atmosphere that oscillates between acid house and indie dance, while joyfully diving into trance, acid disco and prog house. All in all, inspired and uninhibited sets that glide between genres with joy and complete freedom. Sets that are played from Switzerland (Case à Chocs, TRNSTN Radio, Zumbucks, Festi'neuch, Rikiki, Bikini Test, Plateforme 10, La Dérivée, Jungle Coffee, La 7e Pompe, etc.) to Berlin (KitKat Club, Mein Haus am See, Café Sonntag, Waldheim), broadcast monthly on Subtle Radio in London.
