KIRA: Composition for One Player is a 2D platformer where the player performs a musical composition through play. Story: Silence has stolen music from the people. To ensure that no one could ever find it, Silence broke the music into pieces, enchanted them, and hid them throughout the lost forest and an abandoned electric station. A young girl embarks on a journey to find and restore the lost music. As she navigates the world, she must collect the scattered, enchanted sounds and bring music back to the people. KIRA: Composition for One Player offers an experience where music is not merely an effect or background element - it is the very core of the gameplay. The player collects fragments of a dismantled composition and performs it while navigating the game world. The presentation of the game takes the form of an audiovisual performance. A player plays the game on a large screen while an audience watches the gameplay and listens to the music being collected and performed in real time. While designed for this performance format, the game can also be played on a desktop as a solo experience. The version submitted is a demo. The final version of the game will be ready by the end of February, and the full version will be available for the festival.
