MINE MIND

By: Shoto Hayakawa
Genre: Experimental Board Game, Mixed Reality Installation
Platform: Beyond Screen
Country: Japan
More info:

MINE MIND is a mixed-reality video installation in which the player becomes an on-screen character and is pulled into a board game. Once seated at the central table, the player is composited into the video in real time and joins as the fourth participant in a mysterious board game themed around cave exploration. By choosing number cards from 1 to 4, the player alters outcomes and branches the unfolding scene—watching “the self that chooses” from an outside perspective. With bone-conduction earphones, the player can hear the inner voices of the other players, turning deduction and mind games into a key part of the experience and transforming how the work is played and perceived.
