Yuha’s Nightmares is a nightmare simulator — a psychological adventure where you dive into the dreams of the protagonist, Yuha, experience her emotions and fears, and piece together her story from memories, meaningful items, and sounds. The game drops you into familiar dream scenarios: apocalypse, returning to the childhood home, disappearing staircases, slowed movement, loss of voice, being in a rush. You explore Yuha’s unconscious through The Wireframe World (a wireframe mode usually unavailable to players). You can look through walls, see the structure of the level, and uncover the protagonist’s secrets through the game’s secrets. The surreal world glitches: the field of view shifts, and what you see doesn’t always match what you physically feel. You can get stuck in the textures — but there’s always a way out.
