Daniel has been part of A MAZE. since the very first edition, originally as a DJ at the first Jump’n’Run parties. He went on to run the festival’s club nights at Urban Spree, bringing in international chiptune and demoscene acts, before becoming the festival’s web developer in 2020 (he’s too old to party now).
Outside the festival, he works at the intersection of editorial systems for print and web, automation, and experimental software, with an interest in textual interfaces, algorithmic art, and digital archaeology — the obsolete-format-agnostic kind.
His main project is a creative computing environment built around a modern BASIC. He also dabbles in game design and prototyping, and maybe one day will release a proper game.
