The MMVR Arcade2026 was created as part of the Game Design fundamentals course in the winter semester 2025/26. It presents a series of small game prototypes centered on the theme “The Hike” — a playful exploration of walking, discovery, and being on the move.
The focus was on designing and developing compact prototypes (vertical slices) in which key aspects of game design, visual art, and interactive storytelling come together. Central to the project was the creation of a cohesive and distinctive player experience, shaped through the interplay of mechanics and systems, visual design and atmosphere, and technical implementation.
The projects were developed in the Godot Engine, with small teams collaboratively designing, iterating, and prototyping their ideas.
